The NAACP Camden County Branch is hosting the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity March & Program on Monday, January 15, 2024. The unity march will begin at 10am at Kingsland Lions Park (583 S. Grove Blvd, Kingsland, GA) and proceed to First African Missionary Baptist Church (495 N. Lee Street, Kingsland, GA) for a program in the sanctuary. The program in the sanctuary is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:30 am.

The program Emcee is Rev. Dr. K. C. Davis. The keynote speaker is Dr. Tracolya Green, Superintendent of Camden County Schools.

Everyone in the community is welcome to participate including individuals, families, organizations, and churches. The purpose is to bring the community together in honor of Dr. King’s legacy of civil justice, racial equity, peace, and unity. Let’s create Dr. King’s beloved community here in Camden!

Organizations that RSVP-ed space for a vehicle or float in the march are invited to line up at Kingsland Lions Park at 9:00 am. Marchers on foot are asked to assemble at the park at 9:45 am.

Organizations, groups, or churches who wish to participate are asked to contact the NAACP branch to RSVP by sending an email to events.naacp5177@gmail.com. This will help us anticipate how many vehicles and participants to expect. Individuals and families who plan to join the march are welcome to attend without notice.

These outstanding local Black-owned businesses will be set up at First African Missionary Baptist Church to offer food and drink for purchase: All Foods Matter, Bird Boxx, K2's Catering, Robbin's Nest, and Tony's Outrigger.
