Community Day to Honor the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11am-2pm
Camden County Recreation Center (PSA), Kingsland

No figure is more closely identified with the mid-20th century struggle for civil rights than Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

 

In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, the NAACP Camden County Branch is organizing an event focused on service to the community. There will be opportunities to learn about social organizations and safety net programs available to local residents, register to vote or check voter status, receive Covid-19 vaccine (adults, children, and boosters), receive basic wellness screenings, donate blood, learn how the NAACP is advocating on behalf of residents of Camden County, recreation for children and youth, a 3-point shot competition, and more.

 

FREE refreshments will be provided from 12:00-1:00pm.

 

Door prizes will be announced throughout the event with a grand prize announced during the closing. Must be present to collect.
