Juneteenth Jubilee is Saturday, June 15, 2024

 


Come celebrate! NAACP Camden County Branch is planning a Juneteenth Jubilee on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11am-4pm at Cornelia Jackson Memorial Park (201 15th St, Woodbine, GA). Georgia NAACP supports Camden County’s Juneteenth Jubilee. Join us to celebrate our community and uplift our history! The event will include:

  • Live entertainment including a performance by singer-songwriter Noa
  • Vendors
  • "Juneteenth Jeopardy"
  • Free food 12pm, until supplies last
  • Free books about African American history and culture for children of all ages and adults
  • Presentations to learn about the history of Juneteenth
  • The new Camden County Black History Booklet will be available for sale ($25).
  • Raffle prizes
Vendors are invited to submit a request to exhibit here. Cost for vendors is $50. We are unable to accept food vendors or food trucks. The deadline for vendor forms and payment is Friday June 7, 2024. The theme of the event is “Black History Matters.” NAACP Camden will be giving away free books about Black history and culture, with an emphasis on books for children and youth.

If you wish to support the book drive, you can:

1. Make a financial gift that will be earmarked for the purchase of books. 2. Donate books by dropping them off at Harvest Chapel (480 Henrietta Street Kingsland, GA 31548), Monday-Friday, between 10am-3pm.
3. Order books online and have them mailed to NAACP Camden County Branch, P.O. Box 1073, Kingsland GA 31548. This page will be updated regularly with additional details about the Juneteenth Jubilee.
